What a tremendous day it was for the club, thank you so much for all those who helped make it such a success, OK the brilliant weather helped but what a good day. Great to see so many members along to support and help the event.

Alan had the cadets out in the morning, and those who weren't ushered home for studying , seemed to be permanently out on the loch all day.

The first people must have been down well before 9.00 am as the club was hive of activity by 10am with boats being positioned and gazebos being erected. Thanks to all those ladies who helped with the registrations and tea/coffee etc and to the "burger men" - still have around a dozen left (now in the freezer) for the next Barbie. And to all those who took potential members out for a spin on the water, we are so grateful for your efforts. We have 3 £10 vouchers for Gael Force Marine, up for grabs for the first 3 new members and from the interest expressed from the 35 or so people who went for a sail we should at least have half a dozen new members. As we all know, the Scottish weather influences a big part of the success of days like today. I think we made around £100 profit from the burger sales so a good effort from those enticing people in - I don't think club members consumed around 100 burgers themselves?? or did you?

We are also very grateful to Gael Force for their continued support to the club. It really does make a difference to these events.

Could be another £10 voucher for anyone who can think of a caption of the traffic cone seemingly launching itself at Jan!

And finally, Ok yes we did have a reporter from the RYA down today who did a live facebook interview at the loch which is on the club's facebook page and on the website gallery.
