The Club has an active GP14 fleet with something for everyone. If Swallows and Amazons are your scene, explore our shoreline, island and rivers. If you are just getting into racing, or are a club racer of circuit racer, we have all of the friendly support you could ask for. Helms and crews can be found. With the GP14 being such a versatile boat, there really is every opportunity to involve the family or indulge your competitive streak.
We host the next round of the Scottish and Borders Bell on 25th and 26th May. As always it will be a fun event with the emphasis on the taking part rather than the winning. I can always help in finding boats, helms or crews.
The next event for GP's at the club will be a follow up to the successful GP14 Training Day we had last year. It is on Sunday 9th June, and will be led by Peter Collings. Let Arthur know if you are interested in attending.
The Scottish Championship is hosted by East Lothian Yacht Club at North Berwick on 1st and 2nd June, and the final GP14 event in the Travellers series will be the Largs Regatta on 24th and 25th August. This will give us the adventure of racing around Great Cumbrae. Keep in mind that within the club we are competing for the O'Neill Trophy through the year.
